Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau Releases Destination Refresher

The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau's (HVCB) recently released the September edition of "What's New in the Hawaiian Islands," a monthly update keeping the industry informed of what's new with Hawaii's new developments, events and attractions, transportation updates, and accolades.

To the excitement of North Shore residents and farmers, the Haleiwa Farmers' Market re-opened at Waimea Valley (Oahu) last month. Support the local community while enjoying fresh local food, produce, and music every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Waimea Valley's Pikake Pavilion and main lawn. Visit

Maui's Grand Wailea introduced a new water adventure ride perfect for cooling down during the summer. The Fishpipe, one of the longest water slide in the world, rotates at 45 revolutions per minute while suspending participants above a pocket of air in 75 liters of water.
