Hawaiian Airlines has announced the appointment of Renee Awana to the new position of director of cabin experience. In her new position, Awana is responsible for the design of Hawaiian’s in-flight cabin services and products system-wide.
Awana comes to Hawaiian with 21 years’ experience in marketing, brand strategy and development, advertising, public relations and business development in Hawaii and Utah. Prior to joining Hawaiian, she served as the vice president and head of marketing for Mobi PCS in Hawaii and previously managed marketing efforts for companies in the wireless telecom, environmental and fitness industries.
Awana was born and raised in Hawai and graduated with honors from both Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Hawaiian has led all U.S. carriers in on-time performance for each of the past nine years (2004-2012) as reported by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
