Hilton Hawaiian Village Hires New Executive Assistant Manager

Hilton Worldwide recently announced that Neil R. Poisson has been named executive assistant manager of its flagship resort in Hawaii, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.

He will oversee the operations of the company’s largest hotel, which encompasses 22 beachfront acres and 2,860 guest rooms.

Poisson has more than 25 years of hotel industry experience and has been affiliated with Hilton Hotels since 1987, most recently serving as resident manager of Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Prior to that, he was general manager at Hilton Ontario Airport; Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Berkeley; Hilton San Diego Airport-Harbor Island and Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center. Poisson also was director of operations and divisional manager for operations for Hilton Hotels Corporation overseeing upwards of 18 hotels within his region.

During Poisson’s tenure at Hilton San Francisco, the hotel achieved recognition by Hilton Worldwide in 2011 as the Hotel of the Year for Hotels over 750 Rooms; Most Improved Profit and Sustainability.

“I am excited to have Neil join our team at Hilton Hawaiian Village,” said Tracy Walker, general manager, in a written release. “Neil’s leadership and operational background will be instrumental in guiding us through our many projects at the resort.”

Poisson was born and raised in Quebec, Canada and is a third generation hotelier. His grown children also work in the industry and continue the family’s hotel legacy.
