The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort sweetens the appeal of an Oahu getaway this fall and winter with special rates starting from $169 per night bookable now for travel through December 20.

“There’s such a great energy on Oahu during fall and winter with a lot of major events happening on island,” said Tracy Walker, general manager of Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, in a written release. “The weather is also ideal during these seasons and airfare is typically lower for additional savings.”

Aloha Festivals (Sept. 6-27)

This premier showcase celebrates Hawaii’s music, dance and history, and is intended to preserve the islands’ unique traditions. Festivities on Oahu include a Waikiki Hoolaulea on Sept. 20 and a floral parade on Sept. 27.
 
Hawaii International Film Festival (Oct. 30-Nov. 9)

The premiere cinematic event in the Pacific, Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) attracts more than 70,000 film enthusiasts for a showcase of features, documentaries and film shorts. HIFF also conducts seminars, workshops, special award presentation receptions with top Asian, Pacific and North American filmmakers participating.
 
Vans Triple Crown of Surfing (Nov. 12-Dec. 20)

The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing returns to the North Shore of Oahu for the men’s series and women’s Roxy Pro at Sunset Beach. Kicking off with the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa, the series continues with the Vans World Cup of Surfing and women’s Roxy Pro at Sunset Beach and lastly the Billabong Pipeline Masters at the famous Banzai Pipeline.
