Outrigger Hotels and Resorts recently announced important changes at two of its popular Hawaii properties.
Effective May 20, the Outrigger Waikiki Shore has amended its minimum-stay policy from two nights to four nights. All reservations made prior to May 20 with a two-night minimum stay will be honored. The four-night minimum stay is in effect at the Outrigger Waikiki Shore condominium for all bookings taken on or after May 20.
"Outrigger is always looking at ways to increase business efficiencies and enhance the quality of our guests’ stays," Lois Shore, vice president, marketing services and distribution for Outrigger Enterprises Group, told Travel Agent. "At Outrigger Waikiki Shore, we’re responding to our guests existing length-of-stay patterns as the vast majority of our Waikiki Shore guests already stay more than four nights."
Starting July 1, clients staying at the Outrigger at Lae nani condominium property on the eastern shore of Kauai will check in at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa where keys, an island briefing and easy directions will be provided.
The Outrigger at Lae nani will continue to be staffed with Outrigger employees to attend to guests’ needs and questions on-site. The new property phone number as of July 1 will be 808-823-1401. The Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa is a quick two-minute drive away from the Outrigger at Lae nani resort.
"On Kauai, the close proximity of the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort and Outrigger at Lae nani allows us to combine the check-in process at one location for these two condominium properties," says Shore. "By doing this there are also benefits for both guests and for travel agents. As Outrigger at Lae nani is a gated community, it’s a better arrival experience for guests to pick up their keys and the gate code before proceeding to the property. For travel agents, the greater operating efficiency means that Outrigger can keep pricing competitive for agents selling against owners who are marketing their properties directly to consumers."
