| Peter Thoene was named the new director of sales at The Mauna Kea Resort |
The Mauna Kea Resort in Hawaii recently announced the addition of Peter Thoene as the award-winning Kohala Coast resort as director of sales and Vince Robinson has come on board as director of food and beverage at The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Both resorts are operated under the Prince Resorts Hawaii umbrella.
Thoene brings significant experience in the hospitality industry as a results-oriented team leader. Born and raised in Hawaii, he has more than 20 years of hotel sales and marketing experience, having recently served as the director of sales and marketing for both the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa and Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. In his new role, he will manage and direct sales efforts for The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and its sister property, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.

With 26 years of experience in resort food and beverage operations, Robinson will lead the food and beverage team at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel including all restaurant operations as well as outlets, lounges, in-room dining, and banquets. Most recently, Robinson was the director of food and beverage at the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay. Previously he was with the Hilton Hawaiian Village and before that the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador.
