Waikiki Doubletree Names New Director of Sales and Marketing

Here's a name to remember when booking Hawaii trips: The DoubleTree by Hilton Alana Waikiki has appointed Jeong Eun “Jamie” Choi director of sales and marketing. She will be responsible for overall leadership of the sales and events departments, focusing on leisure, group sales and catering for 2014 and beyond. She also will be involved in setting, monitoring, achieving goals and performance of the hotel through developing and managing market mixes.

Choi joined Hilton Hawaiian Village in May 2010 as an intern when she moved from her native Korea. In October 2011 Choi was promoted to regional sales manager, focusing on increasing business from Korea for Hilton Hawaiian Village, Hilton Waikoloa Village, Doubletree by Hilton Alana Waikiki and Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. For two years in a row, she was recognized by Hilton Worldwide as a Circle of Excellence winner (2012, 2013) for her revenue contributions.  The prestigious Circle of Excellence represents the very best of sales, catering and event services team members within the Hilton Worldwide family.

Prior to Hilton, Choi held various front office, sales and catering positions at Grand Hyatt Seoul, The Ritz Carlton, Seoul and Renaissance Seoul Hotel.  She graduated from Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea earning a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management.

The 317-room, full-service Doubletree by Hilton Alana Waikiki recently emerged from a $16 million transformation to its guest rooms, lobby and function space. The hotel is four miles from downtown Honolulu—the business center of Oahu—and a five-minute walk to Waikiki Beach or the Hawaii Convention Center.
