Waikiki Parc Features Art From Nate Ditzler Through Partnership With University of Hawaii at Manoa

Waikiki Parc recently announced that it will present the work of Nate Ditzler for the hotel’s upcoming art exhibition in partnership with the University of Hawaii at Manoa, which aims to promote its up-and-coming students and recent graduates. Ditzler's work will be on view until August 29.

Ditzler, a recent graduate from the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM), is the fourth up-and-coming young artist to be featured in a solo exhibition at the Parc Promenade Gallery at the Waikiki Parc Hotel.

Four exhibitions that feature work by UHM art students or its recent graduates will be presented each year as part of an expanded partnership of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Halekulani that established its sister hotel, the Waikiki Parc as the Hospitality Sponsor of the Arts at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Among his accomplishments, Ditzler has participated in numerous group exhibitions including the 35th Annual Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce Commitment to Excellence Art Exhibition 2013, where he received an award of recognition.

Ditzler was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. Inspired by the rich and diverse cultural setting of the Hawaiian Islands, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This experience led him to live abroad and pursue extensive international travel. Throughout his travels, he explored and contemplated the intersection and relationship between art, culture and environment.
