Bellagio Announces 2011 Epicurean Epicenter Series

The Bellagio Las Vegas Resort has announced its schedule for the 2011 Epicurean Epicenter Series. This series of events allows guests to watch talented chefs such as Julian Serrano, Akira Back, Martin Heierling and Edmund Wong as they prepare their signature dishes. Moments later, guests can savor the cuisine paired with rare vintages and varietals from celebrated wineries including Williams Selyem, Husic Vineyards and Araujo Estate.

“The Epicurean Epicenter Series offers the exemplary experiences Bellagio is known for in a setting unique to Las Vegas,” said Ana Marie Mormando, vice president of food & beverage at Bellagio.

The 2011 events include:

“Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing,” held the second Wednesday of every month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA), features art from the BGFA’s current exhibit, “A Sense of Place: Landscapes from Monet to Hockney,” paired with a variety of beverages depending on the inspiration. Tickets are $30 for members or $38 for non-members.

Williams Selyem and Le Cirque’s Gregory Pugin in the Tuscany Kitchen on Saturday, June 4 at 7 p.m. brings together a four-course menu from the Le Cirque executive chef and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines from the Williams Selyem vineyard. Tickets are $295 per person, all inclusive.

“Beer and Barbeque with Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong,” on Saturday, July 2 at noon in the Tuscany Kitchen, pairs a three-course barbeque with a unique beer tasting menu. Tickets are $85 per person, all inclusive.

Music Vineyards and Prime’s Sean Griffin, on Saturday, September 17 at 7 p.m., combines the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon of Music Vineyards with cuisine from the Prime Steakhouse’s executive chef. The event is in the Tuscany Kitchen and tickets are $195 per person, all inclusive.

Araujo Estate and Picasso’s Julian Serrano in the Tuscany Kitchen on Saturday, November 5, features the wines of the Araujo Estate and the cuisine of the Picasso executive chef. Tickets are $325 per person, all inclusive.

Poker’s Ultimate Bottle Tournament (UBT) runs from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 13. Guests will spend three days at the Bellagio enjoying food, wine, the company of the resort’s master sommeliers and a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament in the Monet Ballroom featuring some of poker’s best players. This event will benefit Charity Case, Lou Ruvo Center and the Nevada Cancer Institute. Ticket options include the $1,300 A La Carte Tournament Entry Fee, the $1,879 Deluxe Room UBT Weekend Package and the $2,519 Bellagio Suite UBT Weekend Package.
