The Bellagio Las Vegas and two of its restaurants, Picasso and Le Cirque, have been honored with AAA Five Diamond Awards for 2012. For the ninth consecutive year, the Bellagio is the only hotel in the U.S. with two AAA Five Diamond restaurants under its roof.
“The AAA Five Diamond Award represents the highest level of excellence, and this honor is an important achievement Bellagio, Picasso and Le Cirque have received year after year,” said Randy Morton, president and COO of Bellagio. “I’m extremely proud of Bellagio, its beauty and all we have to offer, but I’m most proud of our incredible team and what they accomplish on a daily basis to provide memorable experiences for our guests.”
Julian Serrano’s restaurant, Picasso, has won the award for the eleventh consecutive year while Le Cirque, by the Maccioni family, has earned the award for the ninth consecutive year.
Michael Geeser, AAA Nevada spokesperson, said, “By earning a AAA Five Diamond rating, Bellagio has once again revealed the characteristics of the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. Its accommodations are first class, its restaurants are spectacular and its employees’ service is extraordinary. Bellagio continues to exceed all guest expectations while maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence.”
Bellagio became the first Las Vegas hotel to receive the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2001. To be considered for AAA rating and approval, lodgings and restaurants undergo a thorough evaluation by AAA / CAA’s full-time tourism inspectors. Five Diamond establishments go through an even more extensive review. AAA evaluators judge lodgings on the facility’s exterior, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and bathrooms. Restaurants are evaluated based on food, service, décor and ambiance. Less than one-half percent of the more than 31,000 evaluated hotels and less than one-quarter percent of the more than 26,000 restaurant receive this distinct honor.
