Hot New Hotels: Encore, Las Vegas

The suites at Encore, the $2.3 billion all-suite smaller sister to Wynn Las Vegas, provide views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding mountains from two-story glass windows. The goal here is to deliver a boutique-hotel experience (even if it does have 2,043 suite). The resort has five restaurants; we hear that Switch is getting buzz because of its unique feature—on the half hour, the lighting, walls and ceiling change to create a totally different environment for guests.
