The Neon Museum will host its third-annual “Stars and Stardust: Sidewalk Astronomy in the Neon Boneyard” event. The even will be held on January 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. The night is presented in partnership with the Las Vegas Astronomical Society.

There will be professional telescope equipment available to view the night sky The lights will be dimmed to afford the best view. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in a solar system scavenger hunt and will make space-themed scratchboard art. The event is free, but advanced registration is required. Neon Museum is on a two-acre campus, which includes the outdoor exhibition center, Neon Boneyard. The visitors center is housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby. One of the current ongoing projects of the museum is a neon-sign survey. There are nine restored signs installed as public art throughout downtown Las Vegas
