Photo Tour: Trump Hotel Las Vegas

Before departing Las Vegas after Signature wrapped, we decided to take a quick tour of the Trump Hotel Las Vegas, a non-gaming luxury condo hotel just off the Strip.

Unlike the massive, sprawling resorts that cover acres, the Trump hotel has a fairly small footprint, rising vertically to be (reportedly) the tallest residential building in the city. The windows are gilted in gold, but the overall design is one of elegance and maturity in the middle of a madcap town.

Just off the main lobby is a little bar and lounge that recently got some sheer curtains to let guests unwind in privacy. (Cool touch: Functioning foosball tables are available inside.) DJT, the hotel’s main fine-dining restaurant, has booths tucked into walls with curtains that can be drawn for privacy.

Upstairs, the studio rooms cover close to 500 square feet, and can connect easily to a one-bedroom suite, making the combination good for families or groups. The studios have kitchenettes, while the one-bedrooms have full kitchens with some serious appliances. (Just looking at them can easily motivate a guest to crack open a cookbook.)

The bathrooms are equally impressive, with large soaking tubs and separate showers and TVs in the mirrors. (The one-bedroom suite master baths have windows right by the tubs. Why watch TV when you can watch the city?)

Other than choosing a one-bedroom suite or a studio, the only other issue guests would need to consider is the view: Some rooms look out over the city and the mountains, while others look out over the strip. Since so many of the rooms are so high up, though, the question comes down to whether they want to watch the sun rise or set.

Sadly, we didn't get to see any of the Penthouse suites, but we hear they have cool perks like a private main foyer entryway, his-and-hers walk-in closets and a dining area with seating for four.

Outside, the pool is still open despite the cooler temperatures, and the surrounding cabanas can be connected for parties.
