Studio 54 in Las Vegas Will Close As Part of MGM Grand's New Renovations

Studio 54, located in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, will close its doors to the public on Sunday, January 8, 2012.

The club, which has been on the Las Vegas Strip for 14 years, will host one last party on Saturday, January 7, 2012. It opened as the first mega-club in Las Vegas and has two levels, four bars, one main dance floor, movable go-go cages and an exclusive VIP lounge. It is also known for its original memorabilia, including celebrity photographs, from the original Studio 54 in New York City.

A new nightlife venue will be announced at a later date, as part of the 360-degree property renovation for MGM Grand. The renovation will also include enhancements to the guest rooms, casino floor and dining experiences.

Studio 54 is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 p.m. to late, and a dress code is enforced.
