First Friday Art Celebration – Friday, September 2

The First Friday Art Celebration is an Art Walk hosted by the First Friday Foundation that occurs the first Friday of every month. Aimed at providing a creative outlet authentic to Las Vegas culture, the event includes art from community-minded organizations across the Las Vegas valley, including schools, youth groups, senior centers, ethnic and faith-based groups and other non-profits. David Guetta at Encore Beach Club – Monday, September 5

Spend your Labor Day the classic Las Vegas way: a poolside party. Known for bringing some of the hottest DJ’s on the electronic dance music scene to Las Vegas, Encore Beach Club is doing it big on Labor Day as they introduce David Guetta into their mix. The French DJ is known for his hits like “Titanium,” “Where Them Girls At” and “Love is Gone,” as well as working with artists like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Chris Brown, Usher and more. Hartbeat Weekend 2016 – Friday, Sept 2 – Sunday, September 4

For the third year and a row, comedian Kevin Hart is bringing his successful show Hartbeat Weekend back to The Cosmopolitan this Labor Day Weekend. Complete with two comedy shows at The Chelsea, a live musical performance by Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis at Boulevard Pool and celebrity appearances at Marquee Nightclub, Hartbeat Weekend 2016 is set to live up to previous years expectations. Mariah Carey at Caesars – Saturday September 3 and Sunday September 4

The extension of Mariah Carey’s Mariah # 1 to Infinity show at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace is coming to a close September 11, making Labor Day Weekend one of the last times fans can see the legend during her residency. The show features all 18 of Carey’s number one hits together in one performance, as well as some album cuts, never-before-performed selections and other surprises developed exclusively for her Las Vegas stay. Australian Pink Floyd Show at the Palms – Saturday, September 3

They might not be the real thing, but Aussie Floyd might just be the next best thing. For one night only head down to The Palms’ Pearl Theater to rock out with this world-traveling band on a trip through the ages. More than just a musical performance, the Aussie Floyd show is said to be a visually-stunning light show, complete with multiple lasers and projections. The Wiz at the Smith Center – Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3

The Smith Center is downtown Las Vegas’ 61-acre Symphony Park and five-acre performing arts center, complete with three theaters between two buildings. As part of its 2016 season, the Center has partnered with Broadway in the Hood, a group that since its conception in 2010 has been producing original and popular theater pieces that deal with social issues. Britney: Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood – Friday September 3 and Saturday September 3

Britney Spears’ residency at The Axis at Planet Hollywood comes to an end September 10, so Labor Day Weekend 2016 is one of the last times to see the famed pop-star in action. Most recently, Spears was awarded the Millennium Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards this past May. The Piece of Me show incorporates all of the hits over the last 15-plus years of Spears’ career including “…Baby One More Time,” “Toxic,” “Womanizer” and more. Spears also has a new album coming out, Glory, slated to drop at the end of August, making her last shows in Vegas a perfect time to debut some new singles.
