Top 5 Las Vegas 2013 Halloween Events and Celebrations

Pumpkin lightLas Vegas is known for throwing the biggest and wildest costume parties and events on Halloween. This year, Vegas hotels and clubs on the Strip will host parties that offer cash and prizes to guests with the scariest costumes. From haunted Halloween balls to nightlife options at the best bars in town, searching for an event or party to be frightened this holiday in Vegas is easy. Travel Agent has compiled a list of the freakiest Halloween celebrations in Las Vegas:

1.  Mandalay Bay Haunted Reef at Shark Reef - Taking place from Oct. 25-27, 2013, guests can view sharks and a rare Komodo Dragon while making touring the exhibit. Children in costume 12 and under get in free and candy upon arrival. Guests over 17 who donate blood also enter free.

2.  Hard Rock Hotel Fetish and Fantasy Ball - Featuring a sideshow circus of fire breathers, aerialists, contortionists and more, the ball will be held on Oct. 26. DJs Darude, Scooter & LaVelle, Reza and others will be there. Guests will enjoy four rooms and three floors of partying. Tickets costs $85 or $54.90 for late admission. There is a $40 fine for those who are not in costume.

3.  HallOVeen at Opportunity Village - Held on Oct. 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, and 25-27 at 6300 W. Oakey Blvd., guests will get to go on rides aboard the Forest Express train, spins on the Enchanted Carousel, see a monster parade, take photos, go pumpkin picking, eat treats from concession stands, walk along the Magical Forest and more. 

4.  Fourth Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade - Starting in downtown Las Vegas on Garces and 4th Street and ending on 3rd Street between Ogden and Stewart, guests can be on the side lines or take part in the parade. For the best view of the parade, visitors can head to North or South of Fremont Street. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31. An after-party will be held after the festivities.

5.  Galleria Mall Blood Village - Only 20 minutes from the Strip, guests can buy tickets to "The Zombie Infection" and "The Haunted Mansion" for the price of one. The tours will conclude with a ride in a wooden coffin. Hours of operation are from 7-11 p.m. on weeknights, and 7 p.m. to midnight during weekends.
