Grand CanyonLas Vegas has some of the best hotels and resorts and fabulous nightlife, as well as casinos that will make you forget nature even exists. But Vegas is also home to spectacular and world-renowned natural attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Hoover Dam and other scenic destinations. Travelers can take day trips by airplane or helicopter, on bus tours or on a kayaking or rafting tour to view the sights. Even if guests are just trying to relax at the slots or playing a casino game, they should check out Travel Agent's round-up of Vegas day trips during their stay:

1. Grand Canyon South Rim Tours - A one-day bus tour from Las Vegas complete with a restroom on board, custom windows, air conditioning, reclining seat, detachable arm rests, foot rests, vcr monitors and more. A driver and guide will be on hand to inform you about the iconic sights and answer any questions you may have during the tour. A hot buffet lunch will be provided in Williams Arizona at the Grand Canyon Railway. This is also the only tour that stops for three hours. Tour pick up is between 6:15 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. The tour returns from 8:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. All-inclusive price is $80.

2. Zion National Park - Operating 24 hours a day, every day year-round, services and facilities include the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and Backcountry Desk, the Zion Human History Museum and the Kolob Canyons Visitor Center. All visitors must buy a recreational use pass when they arrive at the park. The National Park Service can waive admission fees on eleven days in 2013. Weekly passes per person start at $12, which admits one person with no vehicle to the park including the Zion Canyon and Kolob Canyon areas. Ages 15 and under get in free.

3. Lake Powell - Papillion Tours offers helicopter specials, airplane and bus excursions. The tours mainly go through the Grand Canyon, but it also includes scenic views of Lake Powell and Rainbow Bridge. Papillion also offer pick-ups from many Las Vegas hotels. Plane tours last about 25-30 minutes. Adult prices start at $134 and $114 for children.

4. Death Valley National Park - A 3.4 million-acre park in California, the park has ghost towns, charcoal kilns, remnants of borax mines and more. Open daily with summer hours (June 16 through Oct. 7, 2013) running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Winter hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A 20-minute-long park film is shown throughout the day. From November to April, tour guides offer walks, information and presentations about Death Valley. Additional programs are available at other times. For more information, check out the visitor center located in the Furnace Creek resort area on California Highway 190.

5. Hoover Dam - One of the most popular day trips for Las Vegas guests, bus tours offer a relaxed experience, and breathtaking views from a helicopter. Open from 8 a.m to 6:15 p.m., parking fee is $7. No Dam Tours Aug. 12-15 and Aug. 19-22, 2013 due to mandatory employee training. Power plant tours will still be ongoing and the Visitor Center will stay open. Guided Powerplant Tour takes about half an hour, while the Dam Tour lasts approximately one hour. Adults admission fee (ages 17-6) is $11, while children get in free.
