What's New in Las Vegas Shows (SLIDESHOW)

With 2015 in full swing, there's a bevy of new entertainment options available in Las Vegas. Here's a look at what's on tap for this Valentine's Day weekend and beyond.

Cirque du Soleil

Starting February 9, 2015, the troupe will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary of performances at the MGM Grand theater.

Among its repertory of shows, “Ka” is a standout, with twice-daily shows at 7:00 pm or 9:00 pm that run from Saturday to Wednesday.

On March 20, the company will be giving its annual one-night-only world premiere of “One Night for One Drop,” an all-volunteer performance that involves cast and crew members from all seven of the Las Vegas Strip Cirque du Soleil shows. Last year’s fundraising performance for One Drop, a world water charity, “Michael Jackson One,” raised $11.3 million.

The project is currently being developed by former Cirque performer, Mukhtar O.S. Mukhtar. Though still in its rough stages, the theme of this year’s show will center around six women and the long-distance journeys on which they must embark to obtain water.
