HSMAI New York Honors Rockefeller Center

new yorkThe Greater New York Chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), reports it will present New York City cultural icon Rockefeller Center with the 20th Annual Frank W. Berkman Tourism Achievement Award.

The award recognizes individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to the tourism industry in New York City. It will be presented at a black-tie event on June 17, 2013. Rockefeller Center is being honored for being one of the long standing must-see attractions in the city.

Created by John D. Rockefeller Jr. as "a city within a city," the world-famous real estate, shopping and dining complex attracts approximately 350,000 visitors per day. Rockefeller Center is one of the most highly trafficked areas of New York City.

"Rockefeller Center is truly the central attraction in midtown Manhattan and a place that most tourists have on their to-do lists when visiting New York City," said Louis Zameryka, Immediate Past President of HSMAI Greater New York Chapter.  

The award will be presented at a black tie gala dinner on June 17, 2013 at the JW Marriott Essex House on Central Park South.
