According to the Canadian Broadcasting Station (CBC), a major snowstorm in Buffalo has caused the city to officially shut down.
Weather updates, and its effect on transit and closings, can be tracked via the Buffalo Convention Center's (CVB) Twitter page. Additional information is also available through Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz's personal Twitter account, on which he has been actively been posting storm advisories, road closings and other useful travel and transport-related information.
