Albuquerque's Old Town to Get New Hotel

Heritage Hotels & Resorts is opening a new hotel in the heart of Albuquerque's Old Town

Heritage is set to announce the name of the new property and break ground on December 16. The 118-room hotel, which is set for completion in 2016, will be a contemporary boutique property with a contrast of ancient and modern elements. The property will be built adjacent to Hotel Albuquerque and will share Hotel Albuquerque’s pool, ballrooms and chapel. The hotel will be comprised of five levels with guestrooms designed to extend outdoors onto gracious terraces showcasing views towards the Sandia Mountains and downtown skyline or overlooking the gardens and pool terrace below.

The hotel will be the first New Mexico property planned by global design firm Gensler, who drew inspiration from the Anasazi people and the indigenous ruins of Chaco Canyon.

The property will also have a signature restaurant that will seat up to 150 people, conference room facilities built to accommodate up to 100 people, street-front retail, a spa and a fitness facility.
