The Idaho Department of Commerce Division of Tourism reports the launch of a free mobile app version of its Idaho Travel Guide in time for summer vacation road trips.
The app will offer a multimedia interactive Idaho Travel Guide available on iPad, iPhone, and soon, on Android. It will showcase the state’s scenic beauty, affordable family-friendly destinations and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities.

It will also be available in the Google Play marketplace in early June, and from the state’s travel website, www.visitidaho.org.
“Visitors to the state can now plan their trip on a tablet device and access information about attractions, activities, local businesses and events on their iPhone, Android or mobile device when they have their feet on the ground exploring this beautiful state,” said David Edwards, of business development for developer Affinity Amp.
“The difference between a static print travel guide and the mobile travel guide app is the dynamic, multimedia content and links to relevant info and advertisers. In addition, participating advertisers and destination marketing organizations can provide visitors with up to the minute information and special offers,” added Edwards.
