JetBlue expands domestic service on May 1, 2009 as well, resuming seasonal nonstop service to San Francisco, and adding a second daily flight to Charlotte and Raleigh/Durham, N.C., Chicago and Pittsburgh, a third daily flight to Buffalo and Los Angeles/Long Beach, a sixth and seventh daily flight to Washington, D.C.; and a ninth and tenth daily flight to New York

American's new daily route to San Diego takes off April 7, 2009 along with a fourth daily flight to Los Angeles, a ninth daily flight to Dallas-Fort Worth, and a third daily flight to St. Louis.
