Pleasant Holidays has introduced its Special Occasions product brochure for the romance travel market, featuring travel plans for weddings, honeymoons, vow renewals, civil ceremonies and anniversaries. According Richards, the booklet includes resorts in the Hawaiian Islands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Caribbean, South Pacific and major U.S. cities. It also provides cruise options in Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Costa Rica and Nicaragua Guided Vacations with eight-, nine- and 11-day itineraries are new options for 2013.
Pleasant Holidays manages a Wedding Travel Desk, a team of experts to assist travel agents and their clients in organizing and planning dream destination weddings, honeymoons and romance celebrations. The company offers a toll-free hotline to dedicated wedding travel specialists.
Richards explained that the expansion from 16 pages in 2011, to a 20-page brochure in 2012, allows for extended coverage throughout the featured hotels pages. In addition, the new activities page will include tours and excursions for each of the destinations.
"Travel agents have found it extremely beneficial to pre-book activities as it allows for a more fulfilling travel experience, while at the same time, allows for the agent to secure reservations for the most popular activities and excursions and earn more commission," continued Richards.
The publication does not include pricing, which can vary greatly depending on travel time, number of days and so on. Richard says it is intended to be used as a sales tool for travel agents to use to discuss a variety of possibilities with their clients and assist in creating the romance vacation experience that is best suited for them.
