Outrigger Expands to Western Australia

Honolulu-based Outrigger Hotels & Resorts will be planting its flag in Bunbury, south of Perth, with its first resort in the state of Western Australia. Development of the oceanfront resort is slated to cost $59 million, with work beginning in midyear and wrapping up in late 2007. The 205-room Outrigger Bunbury on the Beach will provide a mix of studio units and one- and two-bedroom suites spread across three lowrise buildings. A majority of the units will feature in-room spas, with a few fitted with private plunge pools. The resort also will include a day spa, restaurant, corporate meeting space and two lagoon-style pools.
