AdventureSmith Explorations Debuts Four New Galapagos Romance Cruises

Tahoe City, CA-based active small expedition cruise specialist, AdventureSmith Explorations, is debuting four new romance cruise packages to the Galapagos Islands this year.

The four themed cruises will take place onboard the M/Y Grace, commemorating the April 19 wedding anniversary of famed Hollywood actress Grace Kelly to Monaco's Prince Rainier in 1955.

The 146-foot-long M/Y Grace was originally gifted to the couple by Aristotle Onassis, and served as the same luxury yacht that the prince and princess honeymooned on in 1955.

Each romance cruise package begins and ends in colonial Quito, Ecuador, and includes hotel accommodations in Quito, airport/hotel transfers, roundtrip flights from mainland Ecuador to the Galapagos Islands and a half-day tour of Old Town Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During each cruise, guests will be welcomed with champagne and Ecuadorian chocolates, and each guest will receive a photo book of the expedition covering the history of the vessel and details of the royal couple’s honeymoon.

Conservation lectures by scientists of the Darwin Foundation are also included on each cruise. Package dates for the romance cruises are April 2-9; April 9-16; April 16-23; and April 23-30. Rates, per person, based on double occupancy, are $6,795. AdventureSmith Explorations is also offering a $500 discount per cabin on these special departures.

The ship features nine staterooms of up to 200 square feet each, accommodating a total of up to 18 passengers. All staterooms feature private bathrooms, individual climate controls, safe boxes, telephones and storage space.

AdventureSmith Explorations, which was founded in 2003, also travels to Alaska, Baja, Costa Rica, Belize, Hawaii, Peru, the Arctic, Antarctica  and Australia.
