JetBlue Now Charging for Pillows, Blankets

JetBlue Airways Corp. is dropping its policy of reusing blankets and pillows on flights and is now charging customers for the comfort amenities, the Associated Press reports. The new "eco-friendly" travel blanket and pillow costs $7 on flights longer than two hours and comes with a $5 coupon to Bed Bath & Beyond.

The new policy comes after JetBlue began charging customers more for seats with extra legroom, added a $15 charge for a second checked bag, and added a ticket change fee. All such charges and policies, according to the company, will provide a boost in revenue offset high fuel prices.
