Airline Update: New Services in Mexico and Hawaii

Southwest Airlines has launched nonstop flights to Los Cabos.

A number of airlines are offering new or upgraded service to popular vacation destinations in Mexico and Hawaii. Here is a sampling.

Southwest Airlines has launched nonstop flights to Cancun and Los Cabos. These routes, previously served by wholly owned subsidiary AirTran Airways, now operate daily between Orange County and San Jose del Cabo, and between Cancun and both Atlanta and Baltimore/Washington. Southwest also just launched Saturday-only service between Milwaukee and Cancun. 

Hawaiian Airlines will offer non-stop service between San Francisco International Airport and Kahului Airport in Maui beginning November 20. There will be four flights a week until December 17, when the service goes daily.

Apple Vacations will be offering exclusive vacation flights from Boston to Cancun and Punta Cana via Icelandair from December 20, 2014 to April 26, 2015. Cancun flights will operate on Sundays, while Punta Cana service will run on Saturdays.
