Amanresorts Opens Second China Property

Last Friday, Amanresorts opened its second property in China, Amanfayun in Hangzhou. This marks Amanresorts' 24th property worldwide.

Twenty minutes outside Hangzhou, Amanfayun is housed within 47 stone courtyard houses, which used to belong to tea farmers. The hotel features 16 rooms, 21 suites and five villas. Because each building was used for a different purpose, no two rooms look alike.

And while the historic integrity of each room has been preserved, they have been updated to include under-floor heating, air conditiong, iPod and Wi-Fi connections.

Guests can dine at the Amanfayun Restaurant, which serves Western 'comfort food.' There is also the Village Eatery for local delicacies and a Tea House for a traditional tea service.

A major feature of the resort is the Fayun Pathway, which is the main artery of the hotel. It connects all buildings and will be a major center for festivals and fairs.
