Ashley R. Carr was born in Virginia and moved to New York City when she was eighteen to attend an acting conservatory. Her acting gave her the opportunity to study traditional Balinese dance as well as mask work in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
From there, her passion for traveling and culture was ignited. After a few years of auditioning and working in the fitness industry, Ashley went back to college at The New School University to study Media, Writing and Film Making. She spent a summer abroad studying Theatre and Writing in London at Kingston University where she was able to travel to many inspiring places throughout Europe, including Paris, Edinburgh, Pompeii, Florence and the Oracle in Delphi, Greece. Upon graduating, she has continued to perform as an actress and comedian as well as write screenplays, short stories, poems and sketch comedy. Some of her recent travels include the British Isles, Normandy, Dublin, Zakynthos and the country of Serbia. With her background as a performer, Ashley is known to be “a true Cosmopolitan”.
