Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Hyatt Place La Paz in Baja California Sur, Mexico. This is the second Hyatt Place to open in Mexico.
The new hotel opens eight months after the first Hyatt Place hotel, Hyatt Place Los Cabos, made its debut. Hyatt has previously announced additional Hyatt Place hotels in Mexico, including Tijuana, Baja California; and Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
The hotel is in Costa Baja in La Paz, 30 minutes from the La Paz International Airport. The hotel has a strip of beach on the Gulf of California, an 18-hole golf course, a 250-slip marina, shops and restaurants. The hotel is also close to historic downtown, Todos Santos Magic Town and Espiritu Santo Island.
The hotel has 151 rooms, each with views of the marina or the Sea of Cortez. All rooms have a 42-inch TV. There is also free wi-fi throughout the hotel and a free hot buffet breakfast for guests. A 24/8 Gallery Menu & Market includes all-day dining, plus on-the-go salads, sandwiches and sweets. There is also an outdoor pool and a 24-hour StayFit gym.
