Banyan Tree also will design and manage the all-suite Banyan Tree Beijing, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2009. The hotel will be within walking distance of the Forbidden City and will front bustling Wang Fu Jing Road; it also will include serviced apartments. Meanwhile, slated to open early in 2009 is the Banyan Tree Hangzhou, which will be part of an integrated complex to include a conference center, a residential community and retail and entertainment. Banyan Tree also has plans in progress for additional resorts in China. It already has three hotels in operation in Yunnan, and nine more properties in the development pipeline.
