The California Surf Museum has recently moved into a newly designed building that captures the spirit of California’s surfing heritage. The museum is known for its impressive collection of surfboards dating back to the 1920s. The new museum has both permanent and rotating exhibits. A highlight for visitors is the photographic mural of the perfect barrel wave that was caught off the beach south of Oceanside's famous pier. The museum also offers rotating exhibits and year-round events that include an annual Surf Festival in November. The new location is at 312 Pier View Way in Oceanside.
