On Location With an Xcaret Outdoor Adventure (VIDEO)

Last month Travel Agent was on location in Riviera Maya where we had the opportunity to visit Xcaret, a massive outdoor cultural park that embraces the Yucatan's Mayan culture.

Travelers to Xcaret can learn about historic Mexico in a fun and engaging way. Visitors can snorkel through underground cents (scared underground river systems), explore caves, swim with sting rays and dolphins, watch traditional Mayan ceremonies, check out the butterfly conservatory or simply lay by the beach and soak in the sun. The park also has a large selection of restaurants, including Mexican food, seafood and international buffets.

New to Xcaret: At the end of 2013, Experiencias Xcaret debuted a new attraction that pays tribute to the Xochimilco borough of Mexico City. Tourists can explore 4.6 miles of Venetian-like channels on trainers (gondola-like boats), while listening to traditional and live Mariachi music.

We suggest spending the whole day at Xcaret, as there is so much to see and do. While we recommend the park for families, there are many options for adults to enjoy as well.
