Sections of China's Forbidden City are becoming less forbidden as the tourist destination has to accommodate the tens of thousands of visitors per day.
The Chinese government has just completed restoration and opening of previously closed sections of the palace. The renovations have concentrated on opening the courtyards that have long remained closed and occupied by government institutions.
