Last week, Club Mediterranee and Melco China Resorts (MCR) signed an agreement to open a Club Med ski village at MCR's Sun Mountain Yabuli resort, expected to open in November of this year.
The new resort, located in Heilongjian Province in northeastern China, will have 284 rooms, including 27 suites, 22 deluxe rooms and 235 standard rooms. The property will also have a spa, swimming pool, fitness room, conference rooms and supervised activities for children.
Three other village projects in China are in the works for the coming ears. Club Med wants to boost its luxury presence, and so its objective for 2015 is to attract 5 to 10 percent of China's four- and five-star resort customers.
