American Express Travel reports the start of its annual Retail Travel Network Learning Forum & National Summit at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL.
The week-long event includes a Learning Forum designed to help travel counselors elevate customer experiences through networking events and a National Summit for agency owners/managers to discuss industry trends and business objectives.
Themed “Make History,” the conference sets the stage for American Express Travel’s 100th anniversary in 2015, and the Representative Network’s own 50th anniversary also in 2015.
Speakers include Jack Welch, 20-year veteran CEO of General Electric; Captain Richard Phillips, a U.S. merchant mariner captured by Somali pirates; and Andrew McCarthy, editor-at-large of National Geographic Traveler. Also presenting will be Dr. Michio Kaku, an internationally recognized American futurist and authority on future business and financial trends.
A volunteer community event is also planned, the group reports. This year, the volunteer event will be held at the Central Florida based non-profit organization Give Kids the World Village. Volunteers will help renovate and refresh the common areas, buildings and accommodations at the village.
