Vacation.com Buys Cruise Shoppes

Vacation.com just purchased Cruise Shoppes, a national travel agent consortium in Weston, FL focused strictly on cruising. Vacation.com is keeping mum on details of the deal.

Vacation.com is owned by Travel Leaders Group, which has been steadily building a stable of consortia that reaches across all segments. Total annual sales volume for all of Travel Leaders Group (inclusive of Travel Leaders Associates, Travel Leaders Corporate, Results! Travel, Cruise Holidays, Vacation.com, Nexion and Tzell) is over $16 billion. Their model thus far has been to let the purchased consortium retain its own leadership and personality while synergizing efficiencies on the back end.

Cruise Shoppes’ core product offerings to its members includes a long list of cruise line partners to cover a large number of niches and cruise types, Vacation.com says. They also have provided their members with marketing, technology and training support.

“The core of what we have done—helping our members sell cruises more proficiently and more profitably—will be significantly enhanced by being part of Vacation.com, whose combined membership is the largest seller of cruises in the industry,” said Cruise Shoppes CEO Bill Kerby.
