CroisiEurope Announces Savings on Bordeaux Region River Cruises

CroisiEurope is offering summer specials on its July and August departures of its Bordeaux river cruises when booked by April 30, 2014. The Gironde Estuary, the Dordogne and Garonne:
This seven-day journey explores the region’s scenery and history. Starting in Bordeaux this cruise will travel down the Garonne river to join the Gironde. Guests will spend a day in Pauillac before heading to the Gironde Estuary where they will pass marshes, steep cliffs, troglodyte houses and fishermen's huts. After joining the Dordogne explore the medieval towns of Saint-Emilion, Libourn and Cadillac before returning to Bordeaux. The Gironde Estuary and the Garonne River:
Explore the history, cuisine, and national treasures that the Bordeaux region has to offer on this six-day itinerary. Beginning in Bordeaux the journey will head down the Gironde before stopping for an optional tour of Médoc. Travelers then sail to Blaye where they can take an optional tour of Corniche to experience the area’s cliffs and combinations of river, rocks and vines. The trip will end with a tour of UNESCO heritage site, Bordeaux, with its 18th century architecture and charming city center. The Gironde Estuary and the Garonne River (Five Days):
This adventure introduces guests to the landscapes of Bordeaux. The journey begins in Bordeaux before continuing through Pauillac to Bourg, a city built on a rocky outcrop enclosed by medieval ramparts. That evening guests will return to Blaye for a tour of the Citadel. The trip will pass through Cadillac and Saint-Emilion before concluding with a historic city tour of Bordeaux. Prices for this trip begin at $888 per person double for five days departing in July and August. This price reflects the savings when booked by April 30, 2014.

Guests will be able to moor in the heart of the Bordeaux region aboard the MS Cyrano de Bergerac and MS Princesse d’Aquitaine. Built in 2013, the MS Cyrano de Bergerac has 87 cabins accommodating 174 passengers and features a lounge with dance floor and bar, a restaurant, a large sun deck with loungers, a terrace, French balconies and a gift shop. TheMS Princesse d’Aquitaine was recently renovated in 2011 and has 69 cabins (138 person capacity) with a lounge-bar with a dance floor, bar, dining room, large sundeck with deckchairs and a gift shop.
