American Cruise Lines Names Second Riverboat American Harmony

American Cruise Lines has announced the name of the second ship in its new Modern Riverboat Series: American Harmony. The cruise line began construction on American Harmony earlier this year, a sibling ship to the upcoming American Song. A special sneak peek video tour of the ship’s interior and the new riverboat series is available here:

American Song, the first ship in the series, makes its inaugural cruise October 6, 2018, on the Mississippi River. Just last week, one of the line’s paddlewheelers, America, kicked off the 2018 Mississippi River season, departing from New Orleans. By October of this year, American Cruise Lines will have three newly built ships plying the Mississippi: two paddlewheelers and the first Modern Riverboat.

When it debuts in 2019, American Harmony will take over on the Mississippi for its sibling ship American Song, which will reposition to the Columbia and Snake Rivers for 2019. The cruise line’s expansion will see it have three distinct ship styles and two Modern Riverboats cruising along America’s two most popular rivers.
