American Queen Steamboat Company has released details on its lineup of 2016 holiday cruises onboard American Queen, which will travel along the Lower Mississippi River from Thanksgiving through the New Year

The nine-day voyages will offer music as well as seasonal and locally produced crafts and goods. Exclusive to the American Queen holiday sailings this season are Christmas markets along the river as well as special onboard entertainment, strolling carolers in St. Francisville, LA, and departure serenades from the levees of Vicksburg and Natchez, MS

New Orleans, LA to Memphis, TN November 20 – 28, 2016

Guests can indulge in a Thanksgiving dinner, partake in festive enrichment activities, enjoy fabulous nightly entertainment and more.

New Orleans, LA to Memphis, TN December 4 – 12 and December 18 – 26, 2016

Travelers on this voyage will explore the holiday sights of the Lower Mississippi and sip on eggnog while listening to the sound of local choirs as they serenade the boat and its guests from the ports of Vicksburg and Natchez, MS.

Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA December 11 – 19, 2016

As an exclusive event of this voyage, travelers will enjoy a Christmas Ball at the historic Nottoway Plantation in Nottoway, LA. The “White Castle of Louisiana” will be adorned with complete Christmas décor and lighting throughout the grounds, public spaces and mansion for this festive evening. Guests may enjoy costumed carolers and dancers as they stroll the gardens and front lawn before entering the mansion for a private dinner featuring Cajun cuisine.

Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA December 25, 2016 – January 2, 2017

Travelers on this cruise can ring in the New Year while visiting towns including Natchez and Greenville, MS.
