Aqua Expeditions has announced plans for a third river cruise ship to sail on the Amazon River. Set to begin construction in December 2016, the all-suite ship is slated to launch in December 2017.

Developed by Noor Designs of Vietnam and Jordi Puig of Peru, the design of the ship will resemble the line’s Aqua Mekong, with 20 320 square foot suites, a spa, a gym, a pool and four customized tenders for exploration.

The new vessel will be called Aqua Amazon. The ship currently named Aqua Amazon will be renamed the Aqualina, and will be offered as a wholesale charter-only vessel.
