Starting this week, American households might have a little more Avalon Waterways on the brain, thanks to the line's new fall television advertisement campaign. The ads are slated to run on cable news, travel and home decorating shows. Avalon Waterways has also launched a trade campaign supporting sales as well as the Suite Sales Event offer for agents and their clients.
Avalon Waterways and the Globus family of brands have always provided agents with complimentary marketing tools on their Travel Agent Portal. As part of the television campaign agents and partners were given advance notice to prepare any outreach strategies and tactics in addition to receiving the new Consumer Marketing Kit from AvalonViewsTV, to help market Avalon’s River Cruises for 2017.
The theme of the fall advertising campaign is the company’s unique point of view. The commercial highlights how Avalon Waterways places its beds facing the window, offering better views than other river cruise lines. On the company’s YouTube channel, the commercial is listed under the title “For Those Who Appreciate a Great View There’s Avalon River Cruises.”
Avalon’s Panorama Suites are 30 percent larger than the average stateroom, the line said. Offering 200 square feet of space, the suites also offer Open-Air Balconies, with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows that open seven feet wide. The smallest stateroom in the Avalon fleet is 172 square feet.
The first-ever Suite Sales Event offers travelers the chance to fly free and earn a savings of up to $2,000 off per couple on select cruises. As part of the promotion, China cruises will receive up to 5 percent off while all 2017 European departures are featuring 10 percent off. During the event, solo travelers also have the opportunity to waive the single supplement on select 2017 Europe and Asia cruises.
