Carnival Cruise Line announced the Carnival Journeys program back in 2015. At the time the line said the option was designed to appeal to guests who wanted a longer-length cruise vacation, as well as to feature less-visited ports of call. Other upcoming Carnival Journeys itineraries include a 14-day cruise to Alaska sailing roundtrip from Long Beach, CA, onboard Carnival Splendor. That itinerary will depart Long Beach August 25, 2018, returning September 8.
