Carnival Splendor Continues Year-Round Seven-Day Sailings

Carnival Splendor, taken by Carnival CruisesFollowing repairs at a San Francisco dry dock facility and the success of sea trials, the 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor has set sail for its homeport of Long Beach, Calif., where it will continue its year-round schedule of seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises, starting February 20, 2011. Leaving out of the Long Beach Cruise Terminal every Sunday to embark on week-long cruises, the ship will travel Mexico's Pacific Coast, visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.

Reservations are now open for the ship, following its inspection by the U.S. Coast Guard and Lloyd’s Registry, a ship classification society, which monitored the repair process during dry docks in San Diego and San Francisco. Complementing the ship's weekly sailings to Mexico, year-round three- and four-day Baja voyages will depart on Carnival Paradise.
