Celebrity Cruises Expands Celebrity Expeditions

Celebrity Cruises will further round out its Celebrity Expeditions brand extension when the 710-passenger Celebrity Quest joins the fleet in 2007. The ship is a former Pullmantur-owned ship, which Celebrity and its parent company Royal Caribbean Intl. obtained when it bought the Spanish cruise and tour operator in November. The Celebrity Quest will join Celebrity Journey and Celebrity Xpedition as a three-ship class of tailored-to-market smaller ships. Both the Journey and Quest will undergo a combined $35 million revitalization during separate upcoming dry docks. The Celebrity Quest will make its first sailing under the Celebrity Expeditions flag in Oct. 2007 on a series of 12-to-14-night Caribbean sailings.
