Celebrity Cruises Expands Down Under

Celebrity CenturyStarting October 12, 2011, Celebrity Cruises' new voyages on Celebrity Century will feature 36 ports in six countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, French Polynesia, the U.S. and Mexico. This is the line's first voyage Down Under in two years and will include 10 itineraries visiting six ports, including Sydney and Perth (Fremantle) in Australia; Auckland, New Zealand;  Honolulu; San Diego; and Ensenada, Mexico.

Kicking off its series October 2, Celebrity introduces two consecutive 15-night Hawaii sailings from San Diego, followed by a 10-night Hawaii cruise from Ensenada to Honolulu. Travelers interested in Hawaii can also take an 18-night "Pacific Jewels" voyage from Honololu on November 11, followed by five 12- and 13-night New Zealand cruises between Sydney and Auckland, which includes a festive holiday sailing departing Sydney December 24. On these, passengers will be at sea for three days, as opposed to five on competing line itineraries.

Those interested in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia can take advantage of Celebrity's first 36-night circumnavigational voyage of two combinable 18-night sailings. The first will sail around the south of Australia and include an overnight stay in Sydney and transits through the Milford, Doubtful and Dusky sounds in New Zealand's Fiordland National Park. The second will travel around Australia's northern coast and will include Celebrity's first trip to the Indonesian island of Bali.

Also included in Celebrity's new line-up are two 18-night Trans-Pacific voyages to the French Polynesian islands and Hawaii. Ports previously unvisted by Celebrity include Geraldton, Broome, Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Albany, Bunbury and Perth, as well as Burnie, Tasmania, and Bali. On Thursday, July 29, the cruise line will release details of its cruise tour package series and early booking incentive.
