Celebrity Eclipse Scores Perfect 10

Celebrity Cruises celebrates a landmark as they welcome the 10th ship to its fleet, Celebrity Eclipse.

Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO of the brand's parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd., and Celebrity's President and CEO Dan Hanrahan particpated in a shipboard ceremony on April 15, marking the transfer of ownership from shipbuilder to Celebrity Cruises.

The 2,850-quest Celebrity Eclipse will be formally named in ceremonies April 24 and will enter service April 26, offering roundtrip sailings from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Russia and Scandinavia throughout the summer. Beginning this winter the ship will offer Caribbean sailings from Ft. Lauderdale.
