Celebrity's Century Refurb Includes Ice Bar

Among the innovations greeting guests after the Century completes a $55 million, five-week upgrade is a bar built of ice. The vessel's new Martini Bar, created by Celebrity's fleet design department, will have a liquid wall that freezes in a sparkling, crystalline appearance, a bar counter that freezes into stone and a solid block of ice behind the bar that will display bottles of liquor. Teens also will have a new recreational area, the "X-Treme" lounge and video arcade, complete with dance floor, juice bar, jukebox, karaoke, and computers with Internet access. All of the existing clubs and lounges on the vessel are being refurbished, as well. The ship leaves drydock May 30. Visit [www.celebrity.com].
