CLIA TrainingFest Coming in July

The Cruise Lines International Association will begin its 2007 Regional TrainingFest in Houston in July, with dates to follow throughout the U.S. through September. The two-day seminars are a "fast track" to becoming a CLIA-certified counselor. "CLIA certification translates into increased profits for agents," said Terry Dale, CLIA's president and CEO, who noted that CLIA certified cruise counselors report an average increase in annual cruise sales of 261 percent upon achieving certification. Dates and locations are as follows: Houston, July 12-13; Washington, D.C./Baltimore, July 19-20; Calgary, July 26-27; Los Angeles, August 2-3; Atlanta, August 9-10; Denver, August 16-17; Chicago, August 23-24; Toronto, September 6-7; San Francisco, September 13-14; New Orleans, September 20-21; and Philadelphia, September 27-28.
